The PE Curriculum at Rise Park Primary School Aims to Inspire and engage our Rise Parkers to love physical activity and sport. Through our vision of “Steps to Success” we aim for individuals at our school to show Respect, develop Resilience, be aware and manage Emotions, as well as have the ability to Collaborate effectively.
Rise Park aim to develop the Whole Child and prepare children to leave Year 6 Physically Literate, this in turn will prepare pupils to be ready for the next level of learning.
Physical Literacy is the fundamental ability to competently move with confidence in a variety of physical activities and sports. Being physically literate help benefit the healthy development of a whole child who enjoys physical activity and sport for the long term and not the short term. Through our assessment process using a Head, Heart and Hands model, we hope to make pupils & parents more aware of the physical, cognitive and emotional learning that takes place to support developing the whole child and ensure they have the support to become healthy, active people for the future!
