Thank you to all the children in the Singing Stars Choir for their hard work and commitment to the club. They made us all very proud when performing at Albert Ball House and Park Vale Academy
Poppy Appeal - Royal British Legion 2017
Once again we supported the Royal British Legion in their 2017 Poppy Appeal. Our Poppy Monitors spent their break time selling a selection of poppies and bands to raise money for this wonderful charity. Thank you for your continued support with this event.
Guitars and 'Singing Stars' Performance
After lots of practice and hard work, the children enjoyed performing a variety of songs. Well done to all of our performers and budding musicians!

Easter Egg Competition 2015 Video
It has been a wonderful day in school and it is clear the children have worked so hard at home on their Easter Bonnets in the Nursery and Reception classes, Easter Gardens in Year 1 and Year 2 and Easter Designs in KS2. Sadly, although it would be wonderful, not all of the children can be winners but all of their efforts have been celebrated in our assembly this afternoon. Thank you for all the support you have given your children, providing them with the resources and eggs and giving them your time. It is all very appreciated. We love this day in school as it is one of Rise Park Primary and Nursery School's traditions! Enjoy the video of all the superb designs!
After a fabulous first year of growing our very own Rise Park vegetables, our raised beds are looking a little bare right now!
The gardening monitors have transplanted all the strawberry plants into a permanent 'strawberry patch' so we look forward to enjoying a delicious crop next summer.
Mrs Hendy and the working groups have also planted some cabbages and brussels sprouts and have covered the spare raised beds with black polythene, to protect them from winter weeds.
With the aim of making our garden more sustainable, Rise Park now has its own compost bays. We turn all of our unwanted plant material, as well as our chicken waste, into nutritious compost, which will be used in the raised beds and the poly tunnel in the future.
Mrs Hendy and her working groups have also planted some more winter flowers in the tyres. It's lovely to see some colour on these dreary winter days!
